Celebrating 50 years of Amnesty – 26th-28th May

Residents and visitors to Hammersmith are welcome to join any or all of the celebrations planned to celebrate this landmark birthday.

 

Thursday 26th May, Film Screening at Riverside Studios, 8pm
 ‘Amnesty! When They Are All Free’ + Q&A with director James Rogan

Storyville gives us a contemporary insight into Amnesty International's history to reveal how a 'letter-writing organisation' has developed into one of the world's most influential NGOs.

With unprecedented access, the camera follows the new Secretary General Salil Shetty as he and others battle with the fundamental question: has the human rights movement contained mankind's capacity for atrocity?
